What A Week ...

  • Go Barack! Midterm Elections to the United States Senate were held on November 2, 2010, for 37 of the total of 100 seats.Unfortunately it didn't go that well for the democrats at this election. We can just hope that it wont affect anything for the coming election in 2 years from now.
  • Wednesday I went with two friends to watch The Social Network by David Fincher, and I was not disappointed. The movie takes place in fall 2003 at Harvard Campus. Here Mark Zuckerberg has an idea to create a social network for Harvard students complete with pictues, facts and phonenumbers, which he launches as "TheFacebook" in February 2004. Quickly the social network grows in popularity and here six years later Mark Zuckerbergs Facebook is the biggest online community for people around the globe with around 500 million people online, which makes him the youngest millionaire ever. Thus that also brings out a few enemies, from when it all started at Harvard. I really liked the movie; it is fast paste and with a lot of talk, nerdy coding (which I really liked!) but the core of the story is really well told and it works. Jesse Eisenberg as Mark is perfect in the role as this invert, aggressive and nerdy boy who stumps upon fame and becomes an accidental millionaire.
  • Last Monday I was at work at The Royal Court Theatre where the popular Danish food programme "Spise med Price Special - Mortens Aften" were filming - A night of torturing poor dead ducks! What came out of it? A sauce made of blood, which apparently should be a very pricy and high end course in France & some other variations like duck confit. Luckily I didn't taste the blood dish! You can watch the full episode at dr.dk : http://www.dr.dk/DR1/SpisemedPrice/
  • And my internship at Festergaard Productions is going really well. I am having a really good & interesting time there. Check out Sørens update : http://www.festergaard.dk/festergaard.dk/nyt/nyt.html
